If you bought an Apple iPhone during the previous three months, you might have had to dig a little deeper into your wallet to buy it. According to investment firm Cowen and Co., the metric known as the Average Selling Price (ASP) for the iPhone rose to $606 from July through September. A Cowen analyst came to this conclusion after studying a few weeks of Apple iPhone 7 and Apple iPhone 7 Plus sales.
The securities firm estimates that Apple sold 46 million iPhone units in the calendar third quarter, with 21 million of those sales coming from the iPhone 7 series. In case you’re wondering, Cowen and Co. says that Apple sold 3.5 million Apple Watches and 9.5 million Apple iPad tablets during the three months that ended in September.
