As we know Blackberry have faded into the background over the last few years, the last time I envied a person with a Blackberry was when I was in my teens, on pay-as-you-go and they were sat with Blackberry messenger. Since then the times have moved on and we are in a situation where calls, messaging and internet are no longer an issue – you need something unique. You need something different to keep you ahead of the game.
It looks like Blackberry are showing their hand and it really looks like they are trying to catch up with the likes of Android, Windows and iOS. It looks like the next generation of Blackberry; the Blackberry Passport (set to reach us later this year), is going to be competing with Siri, Google Now and Cortana – Yes that’s right, they look to be bringing out a (lazy-mans) digital assistant.
This feature has been around for some time now, but it is only growing from strength to strength. The times where we had to manually enter a reminder or search by hand are over. We are now moving towards talking to our phones, not just calling people from them. So make sure you keep your eyes out for the release of the Blackberry Passport, to see if they really are getting back in the game.
