LG Watch Sport appears on Geekbench

LG Watch Sport appears on Geekbench
As we’ve told you before, Google and LG will introduce two new smartwatches on February 8th, and launch them two days later. These two timepieces are the first to come out of the box with Android Wear 2.0 pre-installed. The LG Watch Style is the lower priced of the two, with $249 rumored to be that price. Speculation has the LG Watch Sport priced $100 higher at $349. The latter model comes with a heart rate monitor, LTE (meaning that it will make and take calls without pairing with a smartphone), GPS and NFC. While the Watch Style will have an IP67 certification rating, the Watch Sport carries an IP68 certification rating.

The LG Watch Sport has been spotted on Geekbench, where it appears to be powered by an unknown quad-core CPU (clocked at 1.09GHz for the benchmark test). The Geekbench benchmark test results also showed that the watch will carry 768MB of RAM, and confirmed an earlier codename for the wearable of ‘swordfish’. Other rumored specs include a 1.38-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 480. 4GB of internal storage is said to be on board, with a 430mAh battery keeping the lights on.

Some additional tidbits to point out here; the listing of Android 7.1.1 under operating system no doubt stands for Android Wear 2.0. And the LG Watch Sport scored a single core test result of 273 with a multi-core score of 418.
