Qualcomm recently introduced three new SoC for the middle and lower classes, the Snapdragon 625, 435, and 425. Each course promising improvement over its predecessor.
Using a 14nm manufacturing process, this SoC promises a more efficient power consumption. Qualcomm immerse eight-speed 2GHz Cortex-A53 which is accompanied by Adreno 506 GPU.
No less interesting, Snapdragon 625 Snapdragon 600 series into the third that has been able to record 4K video (codec AVC and HEVC) after the Snapdragon 650 and Snapdragon SoC 652. It also supports cameras up to 24 megapixels resolution. Snapdragon 625 paired with modem connections X9 offers LTE Cat. 7. Another feature available is Quick Charge WiFi ac and 3.0.
Although it offers numerous features upscale ala chipset, the Snapdragon 625 turns only capable of supporting a screen with a maximum resolution of 1900 × 1200 at 60 fps or 1080p at 30fps. Not to forget, Qualcomm Snapdragon mention that the successor of the 617 is 35 percent more power efficient than its predecessor.
Snapdragon 435 and 425
Besides Snapdragon 625, Qualcomm also introduced two latest SoC for the lower classes, the Snapdragon 435 and 425. For the Snapdragon 435, its more or less similar to Snapdragon 430, which was launched in September last year, such as an octa-core Cortex-A53 1.4GHz, Adreno GPU 505, and support cameras up to 21 megapixels. The difference, 435 using the LTE modem X8 SoC making it the first in the series 400 which supports Cat. 7.
As for the Snapdragon 425, Qualcomm offers a significant increase compared to the Snapdragon 410 and 412. With four Cortex-A53 1.4 GHz and Adreno 308 GPU, Snapdragon 425 also has the X6 modem LTE and the ability to support up to 16-megapixel camera.
Problem availability in the market, Qualcomm predicts smartphones-smartphone which has been equipped with Snapdragon 625, 435, and 425 will be launched after mid-2016.
